Lord, I am thirsty. Rev. 21:6

He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.
How fitting today that another 60 days would conclude with this verse.

"I Am the Alpha and Omega," the Lord declares, believe in me. "I Am the Beginning and the End," the Lord declares, listen to me. Believe, He says, your thirst for life will be quenched!

What a beautiful assurance, especially as we end the Revelation by John.

As I have been reminding myself for weeks now: Faith comes through hearing the Word (Rom. 10:17). And if you have faith, God will save you (John 20:31). Don't fret about what you didn't do. Don't fret about what you did do. Do hear the Word. Do hear the Law. But lean on the Gospel. God is offering us forgiveness, if we will believe.

From time to time, I think we all have doubts about this. So tomorrow I am going to begin a new 60-day cycle reading the New Testament. I am not sure where the next two months will take me. But I am going to look forward to hearing the Word, again. It's a beautiful message from in the beginning to amen: God so loves the world that he forgives anyone who believes in Jesus.

Therefore, as Jesus said to Thomas, stop doubting and believe (John 20:27).

I am thirsty, Lord. Help me to believe!
